Comments:	My memories from WRAAC life seem so distant, and yet remain very special. Friendships were forged that last through old photos special enough to have been kept through years of travelling. I'd love to hear from fellow recruits (1/75) OCS (1/76) or life in RASigs. Many years spent at University getting the pieces of paper to prove I could do the job the Army trained me for as a WRAAC. Now a happy wife, mother and granny working fulltime for the WA Health Department as a Case Management Officer for communicable diseases.

Comments:	I joined 2 WRAAC Company, at Victoria Barracks, Paddington, around 1963. My number was F21989. Think we used to parade on Wednesday nights and I was so proud of wearing my dark green uniform and beret. I have wonderful memories of my time as a member of 2 WRAAC Coy. Great camps at Adamstown, Singleton and Gan Gan!! Would love to hear from other girls who were there around that time. The girls were such fun - can only remember Geraldine Sasse as a name from my recruit course! I was attached to transport at Randwick and remember driving an ambulance, in convoy, down Canterbury Road and being petrified I would hit something. I left to travel overseas in December 1965 - in the days when you went by ship and it took six weeks to get to the UK!! I also recall great times with the University of New South Wales Band when we went to parades. Is there anyone out there who also remembers these times? First words spoken to me by a member of the WRAAC was "Listen to that accent" and was from Tracey Naylor who was picking me up from RAAF Amberley, in 1983. Long Look was an entirely sober exchange posting. Some where I have a piccy of Tracey in the Blue Boozer, 141 Supply Coy, RAAOC. If I remember rightly she spent quite a few stints behind the bar serving parched throats.

Comments:	I joined Brisbane 1/1966 - after WRAAC School training went to School of Artillery North Head - clerical course at Puckapunyal then back to Arty. Discharged to marry George (1st intake National Services)in 1968 have 2 sons and 4 grandchildren - unexpectantly I lost the love of my life January 2004 - we had so many wonderful memories of our time together both in the Army and our 36 year marriage. Would love to do it all over again.

Comments:	I'm so pleased I found this site. Has bought back a lot of very warm memories. I enlisted in Sep 1972 and after rookies did clerical training at Puckapunyal. From there was posted to the 7 Camp Hospital Kapooka. Married then Cpl Brian Mundy, and got out in 1975. Missed the life so re-enlisted in 1979. Went straight to 4 Sig Regt Brisbane and then to HQ FF Comd & DSU Sydney. Discharged again in 1982. All I can say is sometimes you don't realise what you have until it's not there any more. Still some of my happiest and most fulfilling times were spent in green. Congratulations on the site.

Comments:	The WRAAC may be gone, but definitely not forgotten. Love walking into RSL clubs and seeing the expression on faces when they realise that I was the serving member not my husband. [^_^] Joined in January 1972, was posted to WRAAC Barracks St Kilda for GD's after completing recruits. Trade training was at Sig School Watsonia, working days where spent at 135 Sig Sqn Canberra with a detachment to Kapooka and further training back to Georges Heights and Sig School. Am married with 2 adult children and 2 grandchildren. Life treats me well. 16 Feb 2004.
