| Comments: | Heritage project Georges Heights Hello all, I've only just found this site and would very much like some information about the use of the Officers Mess and Officers Accommodation at Georges Heights, is really welcome... as well as any information regarding the battery near the Officers Accommodation (Boomerang building), including the use of one of the gun pits as an ornamental pool. I am doing a conservation plan of the precinct for the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust, now responsible to manage the heritage of these sites and interpret them to the public. Any memories of the attachments to and meanings of these places to you WRAAC folk, as well as any physical changes to the sites (eg did WRAAC brick up that gun pit, as is rumoured, or was it already there, and merely used as a pond?) inevitably I'm coming to hte end f the project, so anything you can tell me asap would be appreciated. with thanks, please contact me separately or if you wish to this site mctru |

Retired in 1998 came back and did 12 months full time service and am now a public servant within Defence and still located in Canberra.
