| Comments: | Meant to put my maiden name too (Wilson)and I belonged to RAANC. Upon enlistment in Adelaide spent some time at Keswick Barracks, SA, before recruit training at WRAAC School due to delay in courses.
On a sad note my friend, Edie Goettler, who went through recruit training with me & other courses etc, and we kept in touch over the years, died on 12 Sept 2007, I miss her so very much.
Looking forward to the 60th Reunion.

PS... Does anyone know the whereabouts of Sally Burns? We did recruit training together and also were stationed at Duntroon Hospital, Canberra for a time. I would so love to get in touch (I did hear she had died but couldn't find confirmation of this, and I so hope not). |

My course instructor on the 16/67 OCS was Jan Parker. Sadly, Jan lost her long battle with cancer last year. We had invited her to our 40th anniversay get-together in Perth. She was delighted with the invite and for a while had hopes of being able to be there but was too ill. Jan left the Corps to train as a nurse and went to the RANC. She married a RAAF Offr, but I can't remember his name. |

| Comments: | Great site for WRAAC. Great to see our Wonderful Col.Best and Col.Maxwell. I was her driver at WRAAC School for a year till I married and went to 5 Sig as Col's driver.Capt. Nicholson was at WRAAC School as my boss then, hmm., what a dag and WO1 Andrews, had the best around me at that time. Col.Maxwell was such a great! Lady as well as a bit of a giggle. The best time of my life was in the WRAAC. Would have joined at 17, but my Dad wouldnot let me till I had tried a "proper job", "in a bank". Sorry I was so old when I joined, and then I had to meet the love of my life and marry him, that was o.k. but fell with our first child(Sean has just done 20yrs in the Army, WO2) wish they had the rule we could have stayed in then.Think they would still have me? 60 in Aug. |

| Comments: | Enlisted October 1955, Recruit School at Queenscliffe, Victoria and posted to Mildura at WRAAC School. Returned home in 1956 working with Cadet Battalions. Unfortunately in those days if you got married you were automatically discharged, such a shame I did so want to stay in the forces.
