Attention all WRAAC members : Major Patti Rawlings.
VALE : Major Patti Rawlings
From Louise and Jane:
Thank you for passing on the saddest news.
Pat was a wonder lady who loved her Associations.
I’m glad I got to see her last week and speak to her only a few days ago.
It is a great lost to all of us, family, friends and her beloved Associations.
I pray that she is at peace now.
May God continue to look after her and all of us who morn her passing.
May we need forget her.
Until we meet again, so long mate.
Major Patricia Rawlings may you rest in peace.
God bless
Love Jane
It is my sad duty to advise that Pat Rawlings passed away at 1050 Saturday 28th November,2009.
We had our QGM at Victoria Barracks and 12.30 with a good but sad attendance knowing that "Our Pat" had slipped away.
Please watch the daily newspapers for further details (Sydney Papers)
From Louise
ALL IS WELL
Death is nothing at all,
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Whatever we were to each other, we still are.
Please, call me by my old familiar name
Speak of me in the same easy way you always did.
Put no difference in your tone, wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh, as we always laughed, at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, and Pray for me.
Let my name be the household name it always was,
Spoken without the shadow of a ghost in it.
Life means all it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was.
Death is invevitable, so why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, - for an interval, very near.
All is well.
Nothing is past or lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before only better and happier.
Together forever.

I did have a lot of reservations about setting up a website for all WRAAC Members to visit and send in their photos and memories (jpeg please) to be displayed.
The final straw came as many women had contacted me from Australia, England and America, in hope that a website be introduced for us to re-new friendships again, to talk of old times and families.
To my amazement, I could only find our Beret/Hat badge on display. It wasn't until the Queensland 50th Anniversary Re-Union ,that I was told of the website in South Australia.
Sorry to hear that South Australia Association has closed down.
Victorian website:

Here is our chance to put this website back into working order. You will see different avenues and ideas.
I would like to receive suggestions from members of what to add or delete.
The WRAAC Associations of National Australia, ACT, NSW, Qld and WA, have granted me the authority to maintain our website as Webhostess.
*** (NEW)***WRAAC Associations are welcome to add any information or catalogue their "For Sale" items, to their Association Pages.
Regards to all, Patty
